707 West 21st Street • Austin, TX 78705
The 21st Street Co-op, architecturally compared to a tree house, has a unique combination of suites, balconies, walkways and landscaping. It was the first building in North America designed from the ground up to be a co-op. The 100 members of the house thrive in a very social and active community where there is always something to do.
The 21st Street Co-op Bike Shop helps maintain, build and fix bikes belonging to members of the house and local community. From artists to engineers and activists, anyone can find their niche at 21st Street.
It is the only clothing-optional co-op in College Houses.
Members share furnished private and double rooms joined into small suites, contributing to a close-knit community. Each suite includes a common living room, kitchenette, semi-private baths with large windows opening out onto the front or back yards.
